Rolex Milgauss Black Dial Watch Ref. 116400GV and Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial Watch >15000 Gauss Ref. 231.10.42.21.01.002 are completely professional anti-magnetic timepieces. Lightning-shaped second hand and bee-inspired second hand stand out on black dials. Reference 116400GV is called “Rolex green sapphire”, while watch lovers call Omega reference 231.10.42.21.01.002 “Omega bumblebee”. Several days ago, I chanced to buy a Omega bumblebee, so that I can compare it with my another watch-Rolex green sapphire.

A Conclusion of Anti-magnetic Experiment
Rolex green sapphire watch reaches 1000 Gauss anti-magnetic level, while OMEGA’s Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,000 Gauss is the world’s first completely anti-magnetic timepiece. Some did an experiment on the two models with Strong neodymium magnets and MRI. The conclusion follows.
1. Rolex Milgauss black dial watch Ref. 116400GV is marked “1000 Gauss”anti-magnetic property, but its practical anti-magnetic level reaches at least 7000 Gauss.
2. Omega’s Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,000 Gauss extends up to at least 60000 Gauss actually.
From the technical data, Rolex green sapphire falls far behind Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra > 15,000 Gauss, but the function is more than sufficient in the daily life. There is no doubt that Omega Bumblebee has the world’s first anti-magnetic property.

About Good-looking Dial
It’s hard to say which one looks better, because I really like both of them, or I wouldn’t buy them. Omega bumblebee for 41.5mm looks larger than Rolex green sapphire for 40mm. Omega used anti-magnetic materials to produce the movement, and Rolex middle case has anti-magnetic property, so the latter has thicker watch case. In a word, Omega bumblebee has better anti-magnetic property, thinner. I feel better when it is worn on my wrist.

Omega and Rolex treat their watch cases in different ways. Omega bumblebee watch case has more complicated lines, but Rolex green sapphire watch case is round and simple. The former combines polishing and drawing treatment, while the latter was under full polishing treatment.

Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150 watch >15000 Gauss features black and yellow dial, and dial of Rolex reference 116400GV combines black and orange. Like Seamaster Aqua Terra collection, the former dial was decorated with deck-themed pattern, solid and beautiful. The yellow “>15000 GAUSS”on the dial stands out. The latter dial is marked with “Milgauss”.

The most iconic feature is the second hand. Orange lightning second hand looks very cool. The second hand in black and yellow looks like a poisonous tail pin of a bumblebee, fierce.

The World’s First Anti-magnetic Timepiece
Without anti-magnetic middle case, Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Co-Axial steel watch 15’000 Gauss Ref. 231.10.42.21.01.002 has 15 times more anti-magnetic property than Rolex Milgauss Oystersteel watch with black face 116400GV. It’s the world’s first anti-magnetic timepiece so far. It is equipped with Cal 8508, anti-magnetic, self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement. The movement is so cool and powerful that it isn’t afraid to show itself through transparent case back.

Oyster Watch Bracelet
Frankly, the two models has similar watch bracelets with flat three-piece links whose middle links are polished well. Rolex Oyster watch bracelet has less links and longer folding Oyster clasp. Thanks for Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link, Rolex Oyster watch bracelet fits my wrist perfectly.

As two models with the similar style and functions, their pricing is different. Green-themed Rolex watches is hot and expensive. Omega bumblebee is approx $3,000 cheaper than Rolex green sapphire. It’s OK you buy either of them, but you also think about your interest and income.
