The grand event the most people concern is the 2018 FIFA World Cup in June and July. The 2018 FIFA World Cup kicked off in Russia six days ago, and many people around me are concerning themselves with the international football matches although some of them are biased fans. We talk more about the event when we get together. What has a deep relationship with the 2018 FIFA World Cup is the watch sponsors. Hublot is one of them. People say Hublot loves the entire world in a joking way, because it seems that Hublot concerns all industries and means to cooperate with them. Mr. Biver seized the sport market and sponsored the Brazil National Football Team. Guga Kuerten becomes a new brand ambassador of Hublot, and Pelé (Edson Arantes do Nascimento) becomes the ambassador of the Brazil National Football Team Hublot sponsor. Although Pelé builds a long-period cooperation with Hublot, he collected many Rolex wristwatches and wore them in some important occasions.

Edson Arantes do Nascimento
Edson Arantes do Nascimento was born in Teresopolis, Brazil on October 23rd, 1940, an attacking midfielder. When he was a little boy, his parents called him “Dico”. Influenced by his father’s career, a football player, he showed strong interest in football. He has a pair of strong feet and often kicked footballs that were made of old rags and broken socks. Sometimes, he broken shopwindows or neighbor’s windows, so they called him “Pelé” which refers to “an annoying guy”. Nobody didn’t expect that the boy, named Pelé, would famous for his talent on football in the world.

Pelé is honored as the most famous football player, even the best in the 20th century. He took part in 1,366 football matches in his careers and scored 1,283 goals, and the amazing number was recorded in Guinness Book of World Records. After he joined the Brazil National Football Team in 1957, he joined in 92 matches and scored 77 goals. What’s more, Pelé is the only one that won three World Cups in 1958, 1962, 1970, so the Brazil National Football Team can keep Jules Rimet Cup perennially. In 2012, Pelé was awarded officially as the best ever football player by Golden Foot.

Pelé’s Rolex Watches
The two photos was shot 48 years ago in 1966, and Pelé was 26 years old, and he has been a world-famous football superstar. He is wearing a Rolex Datejust watch. Although we don’t know its reference model, the Jubilee watch bracelet stands out from the photos.

From the yellow gold President watch bracelet (below), you must guess the result. Yes, Pelé has worn his Rolex yellow gold Day-Date watch for ten years, and we know how much he loves the Day-Date watch.

David Beckham and Pelé pose at the MLS W.O.R.K.S. & U.S. Soccer Foundation Gala at Gotham Hall on March 19, 2008 in New York City. He still wore a Rolex President Day-Date watch in yellow gold. Pelé also wore a Rolex Oyster steel watch with black dial.
